Great American!

I met MSG Ron Rosser. He is as great an American as I have ever known. We had a regimental function which he attended, and my company was setting up for it. We had a break and some of my soldiers and I were playing a game of pool. He walked over, wearing jeans and a baseball cap.

I talked with him for a few moments, then noticed that his hat had a miniature MOH on it. I immediately called the room to attention, rendered the salute, and explained to the fellas what was up.

He then regaled us with stories for about an hour. 38th(??) Infantry regiment, Korea. The army. Life. He talks to manner-of-factly, humble, confident, and down to earth.

I have met numerous MOH winners. He is among my favorites, to be sure. If you ever get the chance to meet him, do it!
